Volunteers Save Lives
The village board would like to congratulate Fire Fighter Robert Szklany on his recent Eagle Scout Project, Robert has constructed what is known as a Mask Confidence Course "training maze".
The purpose of this is to train firefighters to trust their equipment and teach them under safe conditions what it is like crawling blindly through a structure that would be completely smoke filled and on fire. Obviously, we don't use fire, but the rest is completely realistic. Way to go Robbie great work!
