Village Storm Update

A strong arctic cold front is expected to push through the region Monday night, causing falling temperatures. Prevailing winds are expected to be 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 45 to 55 mph from roughly 4 pm Monday through 6 am Tuesday before gradually diminishing through the day.

Weekend rains and snow melt are expected to saturate the ground by Monday, setting the stage for the predicted high winds to damage trees, utility poles, and overhead electric wires, causing power outages.

If you should lose power, you must report this outage to the utility companies asap. They may not automatically know you are out, regardless of the new technology in place, do not assume.
